What we Do...
We empower diverse learners who struggle with reading comprehension to develop a love for it utilizing research-based instructional strategies to teach them how to learn from what they read.

What is the BEC Brand?
The BEC Brand utilizes evidence-based instructional strategies that cater to the primary and secondary learning styles of every learner, every session. We present in-district and out-of-district, campus Professional Development for educators and enjoy presenting job-embedded staff development to aid the teacher and the scholar. BEC professionals attend district-level and state-level conferences. We advocate for public and private schools and make a difference in the lives of every student, every parent, every teacher, every community member, and every stakeholder, every day.

Dr. Banks’s Educational Philosophy
Dr. Banks operates under the philosophy that all children are inherently passionate and curious, and it is the educator’s responsibility to “fan those flames” and foster the students’ thirst for knowledge. Dr. Banks has a passion for mentoring learners and is able to gain the confidence and the trust of children, parents, and fellow professionals. She has a great relationship with students, and they know that she genuinely cares not only for their well-being but for their future success in college. She is able to build strong relationships with students that allow her to gain their admiration and respect. By promoting this attitude, students she has impacted have excelled in their accomplishments in the classroom and in life.
Got Reading Deficiencies?
Dr. Banks does not see any obstacles in race, gender, or socioeconomic status. She sees solutions and innovative instructional strategies to motivate and promote student excellence.
